On Tuesday, May 20, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) won to wrap up their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign. At Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, they defeated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by a margin of six wickets.
CSK was reduced to 12/2 in two overs after RR captain Sanju Samson asked them to bat first. Ayush Mhatre, a young player, saved the team with a 20-ball 43, but CSK lost the plot once more after losing several wickets in quick succession. In the lower order, Dewald Brevis (42) and Shivam Dube (39) contributed significantly, helping the side reach 187/8 in 20 overs.
In response, RR got off to a fast start thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal. Sanju Samson (41) and Vaibhav Suryavanshi (57) set up the run chase with a 98-run partnership for the second wicket, despite his failure to convert the start. Dhruv Jurel (31*) played until the very finish to lead the Royals home with 17 balls remaining after they lost a few of wickets in quick succession.
Three of the players who achieved new milestones in the game are examined here.

Dhoni then finished his 350 sixes in the game’s shortest format. After Suryakumar Yadav (368), Virat Kohli (434), and Rohit Sharma (542), he currently holds the fourth-highest number of maximums among Indians.

RR skipper Sanju Samson smashed 41 off 31 deliveries, including three boundaries and two sixes, to secure the team’s triumph. Samson became the first hitter to reach the milestone for the Rajasthan Royals and finished his 4000 runs for the team in the process.
3. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has hit the joint-most sixes in the IPL before turning 20

The 14-year-old Bihar native has been making waves since his debut in IPL 2025. During CSK’s run chase, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored a fluid half-century. In his knock, he hit four boundaries and as many sixes.
