The Board was given an update on the status of the assistance for displaced women cricketers of Afghan heritage during the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Annual Conference in Singapore. Under the direction of ICC Deputy Chair Imran Khwaja, the ICC, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and Cricket Australia (CA) are working together to progress this initiative.
The programme will provide a systematic approach to the development of high-performance programs, domestic playing, and participation in the major ICC world events, namely the ICC Women Cricket World Cup 2025 in India and the ICC Women T20 World Cup 2026 in England.
The ICC reaffirmed its earlier stance regarding USA Cricket and affirmed that the organization is still under notice. USA Cricket must implement extensive governance reforms, which include holding free and fair elections in three months, among other things. However, the Board retains the authority to act in any way it sees fit.

Following a successful history of hosting finals, the Board also confirmed that the England and Wales Cricket Board would be granted the hosting rights for the ICC World Test Championship Finals in 2027, 2029, and 2031.
In addition, Gurdeep Klair (Cricket Canada), Anuraag Bhatnagar (Cricket Hong Kong, China), and Gurumurthy Palani (France Cricket) were chosen to serve as Associate Member representatives on the ICC Chief Executives’ Committee (CEC).

Outgoing ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice and departing CEC members Umair Butt (Cricket Denmark), Rashpal Bajwa (Cricket Canada), and Sumod Damodar (Botswana Cricket Association) were formally thanked for their contributions to the international game.
The Zambia Cricket Union and the Timor-Leste Cricket Federation officially became ICC Associate members, bringing the total number of members to 110.
The ICC AGM also formally adopted the ICC Group’s annual report and audited accounts for the fiscal year 2024, together with the auditor’s report.
