As per ESPNCricinfo reports that Mayank Yadav, a fast bowler for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), will miss the first half of the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The team that paid ₹11 crore to sign him before the big auction will suffer a severe blow.
Mayank became widely known for his speedy batting skills before he faced various health issues. An abdominal illness caused him to participate in only four matches in IPL 2024. After recovering from his previous injury the young player played in the Three Twenty20 games against Bangladesh where he took four wickets.
Shortly following his first international appearance, the 22-year-old sustained a new injury. The previously cited article claims that Mayank is currently dealing with a stress-related problem that will probably keep him out of commission for a while. If his recuperation proceeds according to plan, he is anticipated to play again in the second half of the 2025 Indian Premier League.
During his four IPL 2024 games for LSG, Mayank Yadav took seven wickets and had his best stats at 3/14.
