India pacer Mohammed Siraj was fined 15% of his match fee for a heated dispute with England starter Ben Duckett on Day 4 of the ongoing third Test at Lords. After two Test matches, the two sides are tied at one and are vying for a five-match series.
Mohammed Siraj was penalized on Sunday, July 13, for violating Article 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Staff. The ICC claims that the aforementioned offense is as follows:
“Using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from a batter upon his/her dismissal during an International Match.”
In addition, the 31-year-old was given a demerit point for his second transgression in 24 months, according to a statement released by the ICC on the subject. In December 2024, Siraj was given his first demerit point in the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy match against Australia in Adelaide.

There was no official hearing when Mohammed Siraj acknowledged to the offense and accepted the ICC’s sentence.
Mohammed Siraj-Ben Duckett altercation: All you need to know

Players from both sides engaged in furious altercations in the final over before stumps, capping up a spectacular third Test day at Lord’s. When England openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley came out to bat on Day 4, the Indian spinners looked assured.
Duckett found spaces to score quickly when facing the Indian pacers. On the fifth ball of the sixth over, Jasprit Bumrah caught him for a run-a-ball 12. Mohammed Siraj had delivered the ball.

Duckett attempted to drag away a short-of-a-length ball, but he mistimed it toward mid-on, where Bumrah made an easy grab. After making an early and crucial breakthrough, Siraj was enraged and gave Duckett a loud “come on” before tapping his shoulder.
However, the ICC was not pleased with the violent celebration, and Mohammed Siraj was fined 15% of his match money.
