India will begin a five-match Test series against England on June 20. Ahead of the pivotal series, the tourists are working hard for the first Test match, which will be held at Headingley in Leeds.
A new young captain in the form of Shubman Gill has taken up the responsibility with veterans such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired in the format.

Dravid is one of the successful batters in England Tests. In England, he featured in 13 tests and he averaged 68.80 runs with 1376 runs, out of a possible 23 innings, between 1996 and 2011. Dravid also registered six hundreds and four half-centuries in the format off the English soil.
3. Sunil Gavaskar

The third on this list is legendary Indian batter Sunil Gavaskar who was arguably a great as well. Gavaskar represented India in 1971 Test match against the West Indies. He featured in 125 tests during his international career and aggregated 10122 runs averagely at 51.12 with 34 centuries and 45 half centuries.
In England Gavaskar played 16 Tests between 1971 and 1989. His combined score was 1152 runs at 41.14 runs per innings in 28 innings. In Test cricket, the right hander scored two centuries and eight half-hundreds in England.
4. Virat Kohli

Recently former Indian Test captain Virat Kohli has declared his retirement in form. His test was in the year 2011 against the West Indies. Kohli played a total of 123 Tests representing the country and scored 9230 runs at an average of 46.85 with 30 hundreds and 31 fifties.
In 2014-2023, Kohli has participated in 17 Tests against England. He is the fourth-highest run-getter by the country in England in Tests with 1096 runs in 33 innings. He had averaged 33.21 in the runs with two hundreds and five half-centuries.
5. Dilip Vengsarkar

Dilip Vengsarkar was among the best Indian batsmen who represented his country in 116 Tests and debuted in 1976 against New Zealand. The right handed batsman had 6868 runs in his test spec with an average of 42.13 with 17100s and 35 half-tons.
Dilip Vengsarkar is the 5th leading scorer of India in Tests in England. He has represented England in 13 Tests between 1979 and 1990. He had 960 runs in 23 games at the average of 48.00 and had four centuries and the number of half-centuries was also four.
