Virat Kohli, the star batsman for India, established a huge record when the ICC updated his total T20I rating points. Interestingly, Kohli is still breaking records despite having departed from the T20I and Test formats.
The ICC changed Virat Kohli’s maximum rating points in Twenty20 Internationals from 897 to 909 on Wednesday, July 16 (via NDTV Sports). Now that he has more than 900 rating points across all three formats, he is the only batter in history to do so.
In 2018, he recorded his highest-ever rating points in the ICC Men’s Test rankings, 937, which is the greatest for an Indian batter. He also recorded his highest-ever ODI rating of 909 points in the same year.

Virat Kohli was also in the No.1 position in the ICC ranking in all formats in his prime. He played his final IPL match in 2025 appearing with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and in outstanding performance, he recorded 657 runs in 15 matches with an average of 54.75 with eight half-centuries.
Kohli played his final match in the format after India conquered the 2024 U.S.A., and West Indies T20 World Cup. In the final against South Africa he got 76 runs and got the Player of the Match award.
