MS Dhoni, the talismanic captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), once again showed off while wearing his keeping gloves, this time using an under-arm direct hit to force Abdul Samad, a batsman for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), to run out at the non-striker’s end. Today, April 14, the two teams will meet at Lucknow’s BRSABV Stadium.
With the gloves on, MS Dhoni had a successful day, diving all over and catching the ball just like he used to. In addition to preventing a couple deliveries from leading to extra runs, the 43-year-old executed a lightning-fast stumping to dismiss Ayush Badoni (22 off 17).

Matheesha Pathirana made a mistake and smashed a wide pitch down the pads on the opening ball of the 20th over in LSG’s innings. After collecting the ball with skill, Dhoni was able to upset the bowler’s end woodwork with an underarm throw. Samad was just a little bit short of his target at the opposite end, according to the third umpire’s checkup.
Take a look at the dismissal below:

Abdul Samad’s cameo of 20 runs in 11 deliveries ended with that runout. David Miller replaced the 23-year-old in the middle, making him the fifth LSG wicket to be removed for the evening.
CSK off to a brisk start vs LSG in pursuit of their second win of the season

The Chennai Super Kings score 37 runs in their first three overs as they chase 167 for their second victory of the season. Shaikh Rasheed, who is making his debut, and Rachin Ravindra are the new opening pair for the five-time champions.
LSG was held to 166/7 in their 20 overs after CSK had previously won the toss. The Super Giants posted a modest total on board thanks to cameos from Abdul Samad (20 off 11) and Ayush Badoni (22 off 17), while Rishabh Pant (63 off 49) recorded his first half-century.
