Vaibhav Suryavanshi touched MS Dhoni’s feet in one of the most touching moments following the 14-year-old’s courageous performance that helped the Rajasthan Royals overcome Chennai Super Kings in Tuesday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The incident happened right after the handshake ceremony, after the Rajasthan Royals won by six wickets and it quickly went trending online. His captain praised the boy for his 57 runs off 33 deliveries which saw four fours and four sixes. It was the second time in the tournament that Suryavanshi scored more than fifty.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi began batting with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 36 runs off just nineteen balls, helping their team start strongly. Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson added 41 runs in just 31 deliveries. Thanks to Dhruv Jurel’s scoring of 31 runs without loss from just 12 balls, Rajasthan Royals sealed victory in the 17.1st over. After winning the game, the Rajasthan Royals finished the IPL 2025 with a record of four wins in fourteen matches.
