Anushka Sharma couldn’t stop smiling after the Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) batting lineup collapsed during the first IPL 2025 Qualifier against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). On Thursday, May 29, the well-known Bollywood actress was cheering on her husband Virat Kohli and his team from the stands of the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
The batting section of PBKS had a terrible day as they gave up easily, all out for 101 in just 14.1 overs following outstanding performances by the RCB trio of Yash Dayal (2/26), Suyash Sharma (3/17), and Josh Hazlewood (3/21). On the field, Virat Kohli was being his own energetic personality as he joyfully celebrated the wickets falling.

Anushka Sharma was seen smiling when the PBKS batting lineup collapsed like a set of cards, showing how much she loved the RCB team’s overwhelming performance in the first innings.

Phil Salt shares joy as RCB reach IPL 2025 final after beating PBKS

Speaking after the game, RCB batter Phil Salt was overjoyed with his team’s qualifying for the summit battle following a dominating victory over PBKS. He stated:
“It’s a great feeling right now. We had a second bite at the cherry, it’s such a great feeling to make it in the first chance you got. It did move a bit, not sure how much it was the wicket. Overall, not the worst wicket we played this season to put it that way. We played him in league stages, he had gotten me twice, I was just praying not the third time.”

“I said before the game to Andy, that it’s a blessing in disguise. You can think about it, train too much, play travel and play, was obviously is a blessing in disguise. Just gives us the momentum, such a cliche but it’s true. Finding the momentum at the backend is a must.”
