Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lost badly on their home field in their previous match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). Rain forced the game to be cut short to 14 overs per side, but PBKS dominated and won handily, gaining 10 points and moving up the standings.
Following their triumph, the PBKS social media team made fun of a dance move that RCB star Virat Kohli had previously done for a marketing campaign in an attempt to make fun of him. As they celebrated their win, PBKS supporters and cheerleaders reenacted the hook step and shared it on social media.
The roles were reversed in today’s match in Chandigarh, where PBKS is based. On their home field, RCB easily defeated PBKS thanks to a dominant effort.

Using the occasion, RCB’s official social media account referenced Kohli’s original performance by posting the same famous dance motion. After the sixth victory, RCB gained 10 points and rose to third place in the standings.

Story behind kohlis celebration. So basically they mocked kohlis dance in the video and kohli gave it back .
Even in 2021 a similar thing happened they tweeted sab shanti shanti hai and when RCB defeated and knocked them out in UAE leg , kohli said " aaj kitni shaanti hai"😭😭 pic.twitter.com/MbcJLyzH7v

RCB captain Rajat Patidar picked choice to begin batting after winning the coin toss as RCB aimed to get revenge for their previous loss against PBKS.
During the match the RCB bowlers met their planning objective as they effectively restrained the PBKS batting unit from scoring at will throughout the entire playing period. The only successful PBKS batsman was Prabhsimran Singh who hit 33 runs off 17 balls yet the team lacked follow-up successes by the other players.

The two wicket-takers for RCB came from Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma who helped their team control PBKS batting attack. The former captain Virat Kohli guided RCB through the chase by hitting 73 runs while facing 54 balls during their run. Padikkal’s flow during batting allowed him to hit 61 runs from 35 deliveries as Kohli provided excellent support throughout the chase. RCB easily achieved victory with seven wickets by maintaining a 103-run alliance between Kohli and Padikkal that consumed 69 balls.
The outcome of the match propelled RCB to third spot on the table positions along with two important points at the expense of PBKS dropping down to fourth rank. Virat Kohli earned the Player of the Match recognition for his innings that won the game.
