Rishabh Pant, skipper of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), lit up the Ekana Stadium with a stunning century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Match 70 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The home crowd and his teammates were thrilled when the left-handed batter performed a somersault to commemorate the milestone.
Rishabh Pant brought up his century in a different manner by lofting a fuller length delivery over the cover boundary for a boundary. It was his second IPL hundred, following the unbeaten 128 off 63 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Delhi in IPL 2018. His century also came off just 54 balls and is the fastest of an LSG batter.

Rishabh Pant had a terrible season before this game, scoring just 151 runs before the RCB match began. But with a furious, undefeated knock that featured eight sixes and eleven fours, he changed the direction of the match.

Jitesh Sharma, the captain of the RCB, won the toss first in the evening and chose to bowl first. Nuwan Thushara removed LSG opener Matthew Breetzke early for 14, but Pant and Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh put together an outstanding 152-run remain for the second wicket. LSG achieved a strong total of 227/3 in 20 overs thanks to Marsh’s 67 off 37 deliveries.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) set a formidable target of 228 runs that RCB chased down to win a six-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and earn a top two finish in the IPL 2025 playoffs.

Jitesh Sharma led the charge from the stand in with an unbeaten 85 off 33, with a strike rate crossing 250. Mayank Agarwal’s unbeaten 41 and 41 from Trent Boult with the ball, gave him support as he and Agarwal put on an unbroken 107 run stand to complete the win in just 18.4 overs.
