Digvesh Rathi, a spinner for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), once again celebrated with a notepad after dismissing Abhishek Sharma of SunRisers Hyderabad in Monday’s (May 19) IPL 2025 match at the Ekana International Stadium. After taking the southpaw’s wicket, Rathi gestured it, and the two got into a heated argument since the SunRisers starter was obviously upset.
The event occurred in the eighth over of the innings, when Rathi came on for his second over after going for six in the first. The left-handed batter tried to up the ante by carting one over extra cover, but Abhishek was already going hammer and tongs.
However, Shardul Thakur made a wonderful catch racing in after the shot was misdirected. Abhishek performed the notebook celebration for which the leggie had previously been penalized after Rathi motioned for him to return to the pavilion.

The SunRisers batsman turned to speak with the Super Giants bowler, despite the fact that he was making his way back to the pavilion. View the video below:

Digvesh Rathi has already received two fines this season for using the notebook celebration against Priyansh Arya of the Punjab Kings and Naman Dhir of the Mumbai Indians.
Abhishek Sharma’s Wicket Breaks 82-Run Stand with Ishan Kishan

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old scored 82 off 35 deliveries with Ishan Kishan before departing for 59 off 20 balls, including four fours and six maximums. In particular, he destroyed Ravi Bishnoi by hitting him for four straight sixes in a single over. Atharva Taide, who struck three boundaries before being dismissed for 13 off nine balls, was the first SunRisers wicket to go.
The SunRisers won the toss earlier in the evening, and Pat Cummins chose to bowl first. The Super Giants were set up by Mitchell Marsh (65) and Aiden Markram (61)’s 113-run opening stand. With the exception of Nicholas Pooran, who scored 45 off 26 balls, Rishabh Pant’s difficulties persisted, as did those of the other hitters. In the end, the hosts scored 205/7.
