Pakistan former Captain, Babar Azam fined 10 percent of his match fee due to a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct by the ICC. He was convicted of violating Article 2.2 of the Rules, and sentenced to the sentence because of the violation of this Articles, that states that no one should engage in the abuse of cricket equipment, clothes, ground fixtures, or fittings in case of an international match.
He also has a demerit point in his first infraction within the past 24 months that has been entered into his disciplinary record. It happened in the 21 st over of the 2 nd innings of Pakistan when Babar, who was an angry man after being sacked, struck the stumps with his bat and went off the field.

The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Alex Wharf and Rashid Raza and third umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid and fourth umpire Faisal Afridi. The sentence was recommended by Ali Naqvi who is one of the Emirates ICC International panel of match referees. Babar pleaded guilty to the crime and took the sentence hence no trial was necessary.
Babar Azam Fined but Finishes Series as Top Scorer
Under the ICC rules, Level 1 breaches will incur a minimum penalty of an official reprimand against the incurring club and a maximum penalty of 50 percent of a match fee and one or two demerit points.
However, this minor disciplinary failure notwithstanding, Babar Azam played a key role in helping Pakistan to win the series against Sri Lanka. He has completed the series as top run-scorer with 165 runs, of which he set the race-recording 20 th century in ODI.

The ODI series has come to an end and Pakistan is currently focusing on the next T20I tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Pakistan will kick off their campaign against Zimbabwe on November 18 and then they will play Sri Lanka on November 22. It will be round-robin competition, and the final would come on November 29. Pakistan will be keen on taking advantage of their current success and take another series before their home fans.
