Gujarat Titans players celebrate together after a crucial wicket

The Delhi Capitals (DC) will lock horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 14th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The match will take place on Wednesday, April 8 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The team led by Axar Patel will aim to have a hat-trick of victories following two consecutive wins over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and the Mumbai Indians (MI). The bowling unit limited MI to 162 runs last game.

Conversely, GT were beaten by six runs in their previous game as they leaked 210 against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their final game. The side led by the Shubman Gill would be eager to retaliate against DC.

The following are three batters who have the potential to perform big in the DC vs GT IPL 2026 match:

1. Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna struck with his first delivery

Prasidh Krishna has a great record against DC in IPL. With an economy rate of 8.58, the speedster has taken nine wickets in eight matches with 4/41 last season. He has sacked the captain of the Capitals twice. Krishna had 25 scalps in 15 matches, thus earning the purple cap as the player who picked up the most wickets of IPL 2025. The 30-year-old, too, opened this season on a high note, where he collected 3/29 in the first game against Punjab and followed it with a single wicket against RR.

Generally, in T20s, the seamer has taken 110 wickets in 99 matches with an economy rate of 8.56 with two fifers. He will now seek to make early advances against the Delhi-based franchise in the next game.

Rashid Khan has a bright history in the Arun Jaitley Stadium with eight wickets in eight games at an economy rate of 7.34 including 3/31. The premier leg-spinner has also bagged 21 wickets in 19 matches against Delhi at a better economy rate of 6.49, including 3/7. Rashid has scalped 160 wickets in 138 matches in the IPL with an economy rate of 7.10. The 27-year-old has immense experience on playing in foreign T20 leagues, such as the IPL, SA20, ILT20, The Hundred, Major League Cricket, BBL and CPL.

In total, Rashid has the highest number of T20 wickets with 704 in 521 games, four five-wicket matches, and 18 four-fers. The Titans splurged INR 18 crore to retain him before the IPL 2026 auction. He came back with 1/29 and 1/39 against PBKS and RR in the first two matches of this season, respectively.

3. T Natarajan
