Smriti Mandhana, a star Indian cricketer, recently announced her engagement to music composer and filmmaker Palash Muchhal in a delightful Instagram video featuring her colleagues.
Mandhana has long kept her personal life out of the spotlight, but rumors about her connection with Muchhal have been spreading for months. Muchhal himself hinted in October at a State Press Club event in Indore that Mandhana would soon become Indore’s daughter-in-law.
Although the comment brought many speculations, the now-viral video provided answers to any concerns. This announcement follows a historic performance by Smriti Mandhana who was instrumental in the ICC Women ODI World Cup victory of India.

It was announced with a light heart dance reel to the Bollywood song Samjho Ho Hi Gaya out of Lage Raho Munna Bhai. Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and Arundhati Reddy were dancing in sync. Towards the end of the reel, when the music had died out, Mandhana held up her hand to the camera, and softly showed her engagement ring, as the news that had been so long awaited was confirmed.
