Vintage MS Dhoni stuns Mumbai Indians

Dhruv Majethia, a self-proclaimed die-hard Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fan, gave a hilarious touch to his wedding ceremony by handing a comical cricket contract to his bride, Aashima Kakkar, before the Hindu wedding procedures were completed. The light-hearted contract included provisions that would allow him to attend all future matches involving MS Dhoni, CSK, and even Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), leaving the guests in splits.

Majethia shared a video of the lighthearted moment on Instagram, in which they laugh together as Ashima reads out their contract at the wedding altar. The spontaneity of the crowd, mixed with the determined smile on the bride’s face, is proof of how Majethia would never leave Dhoni or his darling fans.

“I, Dhruv Majethia, undersigned groom, do hereby declare that should Aashima permit uninterrupted attendance at all the future matches of MS Dhoni and CSK and RCB, I shall willingly, joyfully and without further negotiation, take seven pheras with her,” read Aashima at the wedding.

“Contract before SEVEN pheras. She gets me for life, I get Thala and CSK matches for life. Fair deal, no?,” the caption read.

Even as a Dhoni fan added some fun to his wedding, the Chennai Super Kings talisman is readying for next IPL in 2026 where he is expected to play again. A short while ago, Dhoni was seen dropping Virat Kohli in his car, all after hosting them for dinner at his Ranchi residence before the India-South Africa ODI. The former India captain was also later seen playing Pickleball with his friends in Dubai recently, which shows that he is keeping himself active before the new season gets underway.

CSK is trying to build an IPL 2026 sureshot team. A major transaction they made was getting Sanju Samson from the Rajasthan Royals in exchange for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. “In the IPL, you will see me come up with a new model,” said CSK on Sunday after launching their book to mark ten years of being in cricket.
