Harmanpreet Kaur and Jemimah Rodrigues, India Women’s batting stalwarts, will return to action during the WPL 2026, which begins on January 9 and ends on February 5. Harmanpreet will continue to lead the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the WPL 2026, while Jemimah has been designated the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) new captain, succeeding Australian star Meg Lanning.
WPL 2026 will kick-start with a contest between defending champions MI and 2024 title holders Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. April 10 will see MI play DC at the same venue. The competition will have 22 matches with two centre spread across two venues. The final will also be held at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.
