Afghanistan played with Canada in Match 39 of the T20 World Cup 2026, their last group stage encounter at the T20 World cup and was a dead rubber. Ibrahim Zadran was part of the moment of the match, which occurred in the 19th over of Afghanistan’s innings.
Canada pacer Dilon Heyliger offered a slower, fuller one outside the off-stump trying to induce an error at the death. Ibrahim Zadran had spotted it early and gone down on one knee, opening up the face of his bat to launch it over extra cover. It was struck right out of the screws as the ball travelled 75m into the stands.

That six reflected Zadran’s control throughout his innings. He finished unbeaten on 95 from 56 deliveries, with seven fours and five sixes.
