Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) co-owner Preity Zinta was seen sighing in relief as captain Shreyas Iyer escaped a close leg-before wicket (LBW) appeal from Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Match 40 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh, on Tuesday, April 28.
The incident occurred on the third ball of the ninth over, which was also the first ball that Iyer faced. It hit his pads, and Yash Raj Punja screamed at the umpire for an LBW call. But the umpire was not convinced. RR were sure of their case and eventually took one of their Decision Review System (DRS) challenges, but the TV umpire was in agreement with the original decision. Zinta was seen jubilant after the in-form Shreyas Iyer escaped a golden duck.
