Nat Sciver-Brunt of Mumbai Indians during the Women's Premier League

The defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Mumbai Indians in their closing league match thus denying them a direct spot in the WPL final even though Nat Sciver-Brunt continued her batting glory.

Mumbai Indians all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt maintained her dominant WPL performance by hitting her fourth fifty this season while Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secure a victory against Mumbai Indians with a 200-run target at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The 35-ball 69 knock by Sciver-Brunt propelled MI through most of the match until she reached her fourth season total of 400 runs during her innings.

Sciver-Brunt surpassed Ellyse Perry’s record in the current edition and even in 2024, which was the previous best by any player in a season, to become the first player in WPL history to score 400 runs in a single season. Sciver-Brunt, who averages 69.33 and hits at 151, has been a major contributor to MI’s ability to make it to the WPL playoffs for the third consecutive year.
