Priyansh Arya hit seven fours and nine sixes in his 42-ball 103, Punjab Kings vs Chennai Super Kings.

In their IPL 2025 matchup against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Chandigarh on Tuesday, April 8, Priyansh Arya was the standout batsman for Punjab Kings (PBKS). With nine sixes and seven boundaries, the left-handed batter hammered 103 runs off 42 balls with a strike rate of 245.24.

Despite wickets falling at regular intervals, the 24-year-old continued to score runs. Arya became the eighth uncapped player to achieve triple figures in the T20 league while achieving the fifth-fastest century in the IPL (39 balls).

In the thirteenth over of PBKS’ innings, Arya accomplished the milestone in spectacular fashion. In his only fourth IPL match, the youthful player reached the milestone by smashing a hat-trick of sixes and a four off Matheesha Pathirana.

Before Arya hit Pathirana over deep backward point and then smashed two more sixes over deep mid-wicket and deep square leg, his batting partner Shashank Singh gave him a strike with a single. The third guy raced to his century when he guided a delivery for a boundary.

With PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta cheering in the grandstand, he removed his helmet after finishing his ton and lifted his bat to enjoy the cheers.
