RJ Mahvash posted a heartfelt tribute for the Punjab Kings (PBKS), with a special mention for star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, following their tight loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025 Final. The summit game, staged on Tuesday, June 3 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, saw RCB win by six runs while defending a target of 190, claiming their first IPL title after 18 years.
On Thursday, June 5, Mahvash uploaded an Instagram picture with many photos from the IPL 2025 campaign. In her caption, she complimented Yuzvendra Chahal’s resilience, mentioning how he overcome three fractures to give his all for the squad. She wrote:
“They fought, stayed and played till the last match! And special post to @yuzi_chahal23 because what people don’t know is that his ribs got fractured in the second match only and his bowling finger got fractured later, this guy played the entire season with 3 fractures! We all have seen him screaming and crying in pain but have never seen him giving up!”

Meanwhile, this was Punjab’s second IPL final appearance, the first since the 2014 season, when they were defeated by the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s IPL 2025 campaign had injury disruptions and missed three games. But he was involved in 14 games and took 16 wickets at 26.87 and economy of 9.55. His standout game was perhaps the two four wicket hauls in which one of those also included a hat trick against the Chennai Super Kings.
