Hardik Pandya, a star Indian all-rounder, was seen with his kid Agastya in Mumbai on Thursday, June 12. On July 30, 2020, Hardik and his ex-wife, Natasa Stanković, welcomed Agastya into the world. In a joint social media post on July 18, 2024, the pair, who were married on May 31, 2020, formally announced their separation.

The father-son pair was featured in a touching video posted on Instagram on Thursday by @voompla, which showed Agastya waving at the photographers.

The 31-year-old last appeared on the field in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) as captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI). With eight victories from 14 games, MI finished fourth in the standings under his direction.

The squad overcame Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator, but were eliminated after losing to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2, and failed to reach a final appearance in the fifth consecutive year.

At a personal level, Hardik played a decent season-a score of 224 runs in 12 innings at an average of 24.88 and a strike rate of 163.50. He took 14 wickets in 14 innings with the ball, the best figure being five wickets.

On Thursday, June 12, Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 carrying 242 people—including passengers and crew—crashed into Meghani Nagar, a residential area in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on its way to London’s Gatwick Airport. India Today reports that the catastrophe claimed the lives of 204 persons.

Cricket player Hardik Pandya responded to the breaking event by posting on X:

“Heartbreaking to hear about the crash in Ahmedabad. Prayers and strength to the families of those affected.”

The all-rounder is anticipated to make a comeback in August 2025 when India tours Bangladesh on white-ball cricket.
