Ravi is a visually impaired boy and an avid cricket fan. Since the Leeds Test match against England, he has been following the Indian team with the hope of meeting Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. On Saturday, Day 4 of the ongoing second Test match between India and England, that wish was finally realized.
Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Ravi an autographed bat as a touching gesture. The left-hander sent the bat a handwritten note that read, “With best wishes to Ravi, with care and love,” after being moved by his adoration for him and his enduring love for the game.

Ravi also impressed Jaiswal with his stunning knowledge base on cricket and Indian team, an interest, which despite visual impairment, he was capable of pursuing due to his disability.
“Hello Ravi, how are you? I am Yashasvi, nice to meet you. I was really excited to meet you because I know that you have been a big fan of cricket, and actually I don’t know why I am nervous to meet you,” Jaiswal told Ravi in a video posted by BCCI on their official social media handle.
“I have a gift for you…my bat. I would like you to keep it just as my memory. It’s amazing to see you and meet you, very lovely to be here with you,” he added.
