Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah was added to the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) category during a rapid-fire round by West Indies batting icon Brian Lara. The former southpaw was asked to classify athletes into three categories: “Legend,” “GOAT,” and “Great.” Along with a number of other excellent players, he selected the 31-year-old in the second category.
Lara selected Glenn McGrath, Jacques Kallis and Adam Gilchrist besides Bumrah in the GOAT category. In the “Legend” category, he selected Kevin Pietersen, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Chris Gayle, Kane Williamson and Rohit Sharma.

Jasprit Bumrah made his international debut for India in an ODI against Australia in Sydney in 2016. He made his Test debut in January 2018 in Cape Town against South Africa, two years later. He has quickly developed into one of the world’s top fast bowlers in all three formats since making his debut in international cricket.

Despite playing just 47 Test matches, he has seen an amazing ascent in the game. Many people believe that he should be included in India’s all-time Test XI as a pacer to complement other outstanding fast bowlers from the past.
India Face Tough Call on Pacer’s Workload at Old Trafford

India, trailing 1-2 in the five-Test series against England, will face a must-win situation in the fourth Test at Old Trafford on July 23. Whether or not to include Jasprit Bumrah, the star pacer, in the starting lineup is a crucial one for them.
Bumrah did not play in the second Test match at Edgbaston after playing in the series opener in Leeds. He came back to Lord’s for the third Test match. Bumrah has taken five wickets in the first innings of each Test matches he has participated in, preventing England from reaching a massive total.

However, India lost both of those games, while winning the one at Edgbaston in which the pacer did not play. He is only anticipated to participate in one of the series’ last two games.
