Jasprit Bumrah will play in the fourth Test match against England at Old Trafford in Manchester, which begins on Wednesday, July 23, according to team India bowler Mohammed Siraj.
India has lost the Lord’s Test by 22 runs and is now behind 2-1 in the five-match series against England. Jasprit Bumrah would only play three of the five Test matches during the England tour, the team management had stated before the series. The right-arm pacer, who has already participated in two Test matches, took a break in Birmingham.

Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been made available for the fourth Test versus England, as confirmed by Siraj at a press conference Monday July 21. When asked about the same, he said:

Arshdeep Singh has been ruled out of the upcoming Test, Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the series, and Bumrah is expected to play in the fourth Test. Concerns have also been raised over Akash Deep’s fitness. The pacer acknowledged that injuries have forced India to alter their bowling combination, but he said they want to concentrate on bowling in the appropriate spots. Siraj said:
“The combination is changing by the day, but our plan is to keep bowling in good areas. In the last match, England batted with a lot of patience. We also felt good and enjoyed the fun of Test cricket. Whatever they do, our plan is to keep bowling in good areas.”

In the wake of several bowler injuries, Anshul Kamboj has been added to the squad for the fourth Test against England in Manchester.
