The highlight of The Hundred 2025 men match at Lord s was a light-hearted moment when a fox ran across the ground bringing the play to temporary hold. The surprise visitor even made it into a Sky Sports Cricket camera and the appearance of the small fox scurrying around was entertaining spectators and commentators-Stuart Broad and Eoin Morgan.
The incidence occurred when Daniel Worrall of London Spirit was on the point of bowling. When the fox ran onto the pitch, it looked lost and confused as the Oval Invincibles still required 72 runs to take the match. Dramatically the fans broke out into cheers as they liked the comical break during the highly competitive match.

Oval Invincibles Dominate London Spirit in Opening Clash of The Hundred 2025
Meanwhile, the defending champions, Invincibles, defeated the Spirit by six wickets to begin the 2025 edition of The Hundred. Despite boasting players like David Warner, Kane Williamson, and Ashton Turner, the Spirit crumbled for 80 runs in 94 balls. Rashid Khan and Sam Curran led the way for the Invincibles, both taking three wickets. Jordan Clark took two, as did Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Sowter.
Will Jacks and Tawanda Muyeye scored 34 runs in 32 balls before the former was out for 18. Jacks led the way with 24 points, while Curran and Jordan Cox were both ejected for single digits. The Invincible captain, Sam Billings, remained unblemished on nine, guiding the reigning champs home partnered Donovan Ferreira.
Left-arm spinner Liam Dawson picked up a couple of wickets but could not prevent the Invincibles to win. The first game of the competition was won by the London Spirit women to the Oval Invincibles women by 17 runs with the starring run Revolution of Grace Harris 89* outscoring Meg Lanning fiery 85.
