The fifth edition of The Hundred Men’s competition began on Tuesday, August 5, with defending champions Oval Invincibles against London Spirit in the tournament opener at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
The London Spirit, after having decided to bat first, collapsed miserably to be bowled out in just 94 balls scoring 80 collectively. Sam Curran and Rashid Khan were brilliant with the ball including three wickets each of them for the Invincibles.
To this, Oval Invincibles made light work of the chase as they accomplished the target in only 69 balls and made a convincing six-wicket success to begin their title defence on a high.
With the competition already started, viewers can expect lots of spectacular clashes in the coming days. Notably, numerous players from IPL 2025 are also included in this season’s Hundred. On that topic, we have compiled a team-by-team overview of IPL players competing in the Men’s Hundred 2025.
1. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) – 3 players

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) would finally claim their first IPL title after 18 years of trying in the 2025 season. Three of their team that won the championship will now participate in the 2025 season of The Hundred Men which will start on the 5th of August.
The Manchester Originals team also features Phil Salt who was exceptional during the IPL 2025 season by scoring 403 runs. RCB teammates Jacob Bethell and Liam Livingstone play for Birmingham Phoenix meanwhile.
2. Punjab Kings (PBKS) – 2 players

Punjab Kings (PBKS) advanced to their second IPL final in 2025, but were defeated by RCB.
Marcus Stoinis and Lockie Ferguson, two of their teammates, will now compete in the Men’s Hundred for the Trent Rockets. Their season begins on Friday, August 8, with a game versus Birmingham Phoenix.
3. Mumbai Indians (MI) – 6 players

Five time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) were knocked ouf of the IPL 2025 following their loss to Punjab Kings (PBKS) during the Qualifier 2.
Some of Mumbai Indians players are lined up to participate in the 2025 males hundred. The speedster Trent Boult will be playing for Birmingham Phoenix and Richard Gleeson will be playing London Spirit.
Mitchell Santner will play for the Northern Superchargers and Will Jacks is with the Oval Invincibles. Reece Topley plays in the Southern Brave team, whereas Jonny Bairstow will bring his knowledge to Welsh Fire.
4. Gujarat Titans (GT) – 2 players

Gujarat Titans (GT) that has Shubman Gill in the team ended at the fourth place in IPL 2025, hitting a loss to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator.
Two of its most important foreign stars Jos Buttler and Rashid Khan feature in the 2025 Men Hundred. Buttler will play in the Manchester Originals team and Rashid Khan was impressive in the first match of the Oval Invincibles taking 3 wickets.
5. Delhi Capitals (DC) – 1 player

The Delhi Capitals (DC) had also placed at the fifth position in the IPL 2025 points table; with the rank led by Axar Patel as the captain. Donovan Ferreira is another player in their squad who played in only one match yet he has made it to the Men Hundreds.
The 27-years old is now playing in Oval invincible and didn have any run loss on nine deliveries off five balls in the opening match.
6. SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) – 2 players

After finishing runners-up in the 2024 season, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) failed to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs, finishing sixth.
In the ongoing Men’s Hundred, two of its players will be in action soon. Heinrich Klaasen is a Manchester Originals player, and Brydon Carse plays with the Northern Superchargers.
7. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) – 1 player

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), captained by Rishabh Pant, failed to enter the playoffs in IPL 2025, placing eighth in the points standings.
Their international batter, David Miller, has joined the Northern Superchargers in the Men’s Hundred. The team’s season will begin against Welsh Fire on Thursday, August 7.
8. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) – None

After winning the IPL title in 2024, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had a dismal season in 2025, finishing eighth.
Notably, none of their players are competing in the current season of the Men’s 100-ball competition.
9. Rajasthan Royals (RR) – 1 player

The first ever IPL champion, Rajasthan royals (RR) had the worst season of IPL 2025, getting eighth position in the point table.
Nevertheless, during the succeeded Hundred series, contesting since August 5, one of their team players, Jofra Archer, is the part of the Southern Brave squad. The team will start its campaign today, August 6 against Manchester Originals.
10. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) – 4 players

Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the five-time IPL champions, had a disastrous IPL 2025 campaign, finishing last in the points table for the first time in their history.
As the Men’s Hundred unfolds, four of their players appear on various teams. Manchester Originals’ roster includes Rachin Ravindra and Noor Ahmad, London Spirit’s Jamie Overton, and Oval Invincibles’ Sam Curran.
