Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are poised to make a return to the international cricket when they are included in the ODI outfit of India in the forthcoming series against Australia. The two have been out of action since the champions trophy which was played in February and March.
The duo of stars have already retired T20Is and Test cricket and thus, ODIs is the only active form of cricket they have. BCCI is likely to name the squad to the series on Saturday, October 4.
On October 19 in Perth, October 23 in Adelaide and on October 25 in Sydney India will play three ODIs. The teams will then hold a series of five T20Is between October 29 and November 8 after the ODI leg. And the T20I team is also likely to be announced along with the ODI team.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli Focus on 2027 ODI World Cup
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also stepped down after leading India to a T20 World Cup last year after winning the final by seven runs in a nailbiter. Both legends also retired out of Test cricket earlier this year before the home series with England.
However, now it is likely that their primary concern is the ODI World Cup 2027. But by then the tournament will be 40 years old and Kohli will be 39 and it is yet to be seen whether Rohit and Kohli will be taken into consideration then.

Interestingly, Rohit and Kohli were both not included in the current India A team against the Australia A team. India A, the team of young players, just won the two match unofficial Test series against the Australia A team 1-0 and began the ODI series with a resounding 171-run victory in Kanpur.
