Pakistan cricketer Abrar Ahmed was the subject of a humorous joke by Arshdeep Singh, Jitesh Sharma and Harshit Rana after India emerged victorious and won the Asia Cup 2025 final by five wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, the 28 th of September.

The head shake that Ahmed did was emulated by the left-arm pacer, and his colleagues followed in on the fun. Batsman and wicketkeeper Sanju Samson has also been caught laughing at the antics of his teammates in an Instagram video posted by Arshdeep.

Tilak Varma played a game-winning role in the field to enable India to be a nine times winner of the Asia Cup. It required the undefeated 69 of the left-hander with 53 balls with three fours and four sixes to win. He was given important support by Sanju Samson (24 points) and Shivam Dube (33 points). The most successful bowler in Pakistan was the Faheem Ashraf who ended up with three wickets and cost 29 runs.

With 57 runs from 38 balls, including five fours and three sixes, Sahibzada Farhan led Pakistan to 146 all out in 19.1 overs in the first innings. Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub also contributed 46 and 14, respectively. All other batters in Pakistan’s batting lineup were removed for single-figure scores as they struggled.

India’s bowling attack remained dominant throughout. Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy, and Jasprit Bumrah each took two wickets, but Kuldeep Yadav stole the show with 4/30.

This victory gave India a match-winning streak of seven games in the Asia Cup and the competition ended with an undefeated record. The Men in Blue also defeated Pakistan three times in this tournament, proving that they are better than their bitter rivals.

Pakistan will return home to play a two-match Test series against South Africa beginning on October 12, while India will now consider their next assignment, which is a two-match Test series against the West Indies beginning on October 2 in Ahmedabad.
