It was match 19 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, and there had been something special happening, that ignited the tournament. Zimbabwe, batting first after Australia won the toss, eventually batted in a disciplined manner to make 169 for seven in 20 overs and targeted something to defend against Australia’s power packed line-up.
The chase had begun amid chaos, Australia having been trembled and slumped to 25 for 3. Brad Evans had earlier claimed the wicket of Australian captain Travis Head off the third delivery in the fifth over to dismiss them for 29 for 4.

It was a good length from Evans outside off, and Head, away from his body, got an inside edge onto the stumps. He struck Head dumb and the batsman artlessly wandered off for 17 from 15 balls, Evans then producing Cristiano Ronaldo’s famed “Siu” celebration.
