Mohammed Shami has been ordered by the Calcutta High Court to pay monthly support of INR 4 lakh to his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan, and daughter. On a plea submitted by Shami’s wife, a bench presided over by Justice Ajoy Kumar Mukherjee issued the ruling.

Shami would have to pay his wife and daughter INR 1.5 lakh and INR 2.5 lakh each month, respectively.

“In my considered opinion, a sum of INR 1,50,000/- per month to the petitioner no.1 (wife) and INR 2,50,000/- to her daughter would be just fair and reasonable to ensure financial stability for both the petitioners,” stated the court in its order on Tuesday, July 1, as per Hindustan Times.

The court further announced that the Indian pacer was responsible for making additional contributions beyond the previously indicated sum for educational and other purposes.

For those who are unaware, Shami and his daughter were photographed shopping together in 2024 after they had not seen each other for a long time. Hasin, however, made some serious accusations regarding the meeting after the Instagram post went public.

“It’s just for the sake of showing off. My daughter’s passport has expired. Shami’s signature is required for the new passport. That is why she went to meet her father, but Shami did not sign. He went to a shopping mall with her daughter. The company for which Shami advertises, he took her there. My daughter bought shoes and clothes from that shop. Shami doesn’t have to pay if he buys anything from there. My daughter wanted a guitar and camera, he didn’t buy her those stuff,” Hasin had shared with anandabazar.com.

According to the report, Hasin also claimed that Mohammed Shami didn’t show enough concern for his daughter and that he only released a video of them together on social media because he had nothing else to share.
