On Monday, March 30, at the ACA Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, the Riyan Parag-led Rajasthan Royals announced the five-time champions’ spot in Match 3 of the IPL 2026. What had initially been a moment of joy for Chennai Super Kings supporters quickly turned into sadness. RR chased down the 128-run mark in just 12.1 overs, and CSK lost the match by a staggering eight wickets.
Parag chose to take the field first after winning the toss. The RR bowlers quickly dismissed both of the CSK openers as a result of the brilliant strategy. Jaiswal continued to rotate the strike confidently even if he was struggling with timing.
Along with captain Parag, he eventually stayed at the crease till the end, registering an unbeaten 38 off 36 balls as the hosts eased past the line by eight wickets. RR now on top of the standings, after a commanding win.
