According to reports, Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of well-known Mumbai billionaire Ravi Ghai, is engaged to Arjun Tendulkar, the son of the renowned former Indian player Sachin Tendulkar. On Wednesday, August 13, India Today reported that close friends and family from both sides attended the secret engagement ceremony.

The same publication claims that the Ghai family, who own the well-known Brooklyn Creamery ice cream business and the InterContinental hotel, is a major player in the culinary and hospitality industries.

In the meantime, Saaniya, a graduate of the London School of Economics, is a businesswoman and the creator of the Mumbai pet salon Mr. Paws.

Arjun represented the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2025 Indian Premier league, as the team is known to be owned by Nita Ambani. The 25-year-old was bought by the team at 30 lakh rupees despite we playing zero matches of the tournament. Meanwhile, the squad led by Hardik Pandya was defeated by Punjab kings (PBKS) in the second qualifier and exited the IPL 2025.

Since, he has made a total of 17 matches during which he took wickets 37 times at an average of 33.51 and a strike rate of 60.6 with one five-wicket haul. The left-hander has also made 532 runs with an average of 23.13 with two fifties and one century.

Arjun has played 18 games in the List A cricket claiming 25 wickets with an average of 31.32 and his best bowling performance in a game is 4/30. He has played 24 matches in T20s where he has brought up 27 wickets at an average of 25.07 with only 8.75 economy rate.
