Rishabh Pant, India’s vice captain, is now the second top six hitter in Test cricket for India. He reached this on Day 1 of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy fourth Test at the famous Old Trafford stadium in Manchester.
Pant marked this achievement with a big six. He hit a full ball from Brydon Carse far over the long-on boundary. He kept playing well and hit it clean on the third ball of the 61st over, showing his usual strong batting.
Rishabh Pant now has 89 sixes in Tests for India. He passed former captain Rohit Sharma who had 88 sixes. Only Virender Sehwag has more with 90 sixes as the top six-hitter for India.

Day 1 Hangs in Balance as India and England Share Key Moments in 4th Test
England captain Ben Stokes won the toss earlier in the day and chose to bowl first. This happened at Old Trafford, where teams that decide to field first have not done well in past Test matches.
India switched up their playing eleven with three new players: Sai Sudharsan, Shardul Thakur, and Anshul Kamboj came in for Karun Nair, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Akash Deep. England made one change, bringing in Liam Dawson instead of the hurt Shoaib Bashir.
India began well in the first session, reaching 78 runs with no wickets down by lunch time. KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal managed the new ball smartly under the cloudy skies. However, England responded strongly in the second session. Rahul was bowled for 46, followed by Jaiswal, who scored his 12th Test fifty and ninth against England, before falling to Dawson for 58. Shubman Gill, the Indian captain, also fell cheaply, making 12 runs before being removed by Stokes.
