Suryakumar Yadav was happy to bat first

The players of Team India such as captain Suryakumar Yadav have started visiting Dubai in bits before the 2025 Asia Cup. Group A is comprised of Suryakumar and the others, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, and Oman; and Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The multi-nation will start on September 9.

This time, the Indian contingent broke from tradition by skipping the Mumbai gathering before departure. Instead, the players are traveling separately and will join the team in Dubai.

Batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, all-rounder Shivam Dube, and Suryakumar Yadav arrived first, while Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, and Harshit Rana followed in the second group.
