Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again demonstrated to all why he is considered to be the next big thing in Indian cricket in the match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in Match 13 of IPL 2026 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium on April 7.
Against one of the best pacers in the world, Jasprit Bumrah, Sooryavanshi was not afraid of the bowler who is arguably one of the best in the world. Bumrah slightly missed his length and landed the ball in the slot, and the youngster made him pay instantly in what was the first ball he faced from the bowler. With his high backlift Sooryavanshi flicked his thet in a gorgeous wide long-on, and scored a gorgeous six.

What followed proved even more remarkable, as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi went on to break another record off Jasprit Bumrah in the same over, thereby putting the veteran under immense pressure. However, Bumrah could only smile, walk back to his mark, and acknowledge the youngster’s audacity.
Moreover, the fearless display highlighted Sooryavanshi’s readiness for the big stage. Notably, he scored 13 runs off Bumrah in just five deliveries, including two towering sixes.
