Karun Nair had to go back to the pavilion after being dismissed by Brydon Carse with a rip-roaring delivery just before lunch on Day 1 of the upcoming five-match series between England and India. After scoring 31 from 50 deliveries, Karun left.
Harry Brook made a simple grab at second slip as the quick delivery struck Karun’s bat splice. The ball became large on Karun, and the abrupt bounce undid him.

India scored 98/2 after 25 overs in the first session. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was undefeated at the half, scored as many as 62 of those goals. The left-hander dismissed the threat posed by the new ball and went about his business with relative ease.
KL Rahul, on the other hand, had a difficult innings up top, scoring just two runs off of 26 deliveries before he was hit by a Chris Woakes delivery on his stumps. Following the early outburst of England’s new-ball bowlers, Karun joined Jaiswal at the crease, and the two of them appeared to be fairly comfortable.
Jaiswal handled the short-pitched deliveries with considerable ease and was especially deadly against them. In the first session, he held one end up responsibly and hit eleven fours. Shubman Gill was at the crease with him. Gill intends to establish a significant collaboration with Jaiswal.
