Former India head coach Ravi Shastri, who played with MS Dhoni, hailed the cricket great after the latter was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame on Monday, June 9. Dhoni’s personality didn’t change in success and defeat, says the 63 year old.
ICC cricketing great along with Dhoni were Matthew Hayden and Graeme Smith.
“He gets out for the zero he’s the same, he wins the World Cup he’s the same, he gets a hundred he’s the same, 200 the same. There is absolutely no difference,” Shastri said about Dhoni at the Hall of Fame ceremony on Monday.

In 2007 he led them to the T20 World Cup, the 2011 win in ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy in 2013. As captain also, he was in charge when India was crowned the number one ranked Test team for the first time in 2009.
MS Dhoni joins list of Indians to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame
MS Dhoni has become a member of the ICC Hall of Fame with other top Indian cricketers. Kapil Dev is now among Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Anil Kumble in the list of honorees.
“It is an honour to be named in the ICC Hall of Fame, which recognises the contributions of cricketers across generations and from all over the world. To have your name remembered alongside such all-time greats is a wonderful feeling. It is something that I will cherish forever,” Dhoni told the ICC website.
MS Dhoni as the 43-year-old has become the latest entrant to the list of the Indian cricketers who are among ICC Hall of Famers. Dhoni is the other cricketers who are now the part of the elite group including Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Anil Kumble, and Sourav Ganguly.
