Ryan van Doeschate, India’s assistant coach, lauded his players for allowing their bats to do all of the talking against Pakistan in the two games they played at the ongoing Asia Cup in the UAE.
The former all-rounder for the Netherlands claimed that the contentious acts of Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf during the India-Pakistan Super-Four match were not overlooked.
Regarding the baseless claims that Pakistan had shot down 6 Indian fighter jets in Operation Sindoor, the right arm speedster raised 6-0 to the Indian supporters. Farhan, however, marked his half-century on the first innings by raising his bat into the heavens and drawing it as a rifle. However, when he hit his milestone he could not increase the stakes. Pakistan only scored 91/1 at the midpoint of the game and could score 79 in the remaining 10 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav and the team could perform admirably during the event and Ten Doeschate took pride in them.
“Let me first say, the amount of pressure that’s been heaped on the players because of the situation, it’s very difficult to control their behaviour. I did see some of the things Haris [Rauf] did and that’s not our concern. Like I said earlier, we’re really proud of how the guys carried themselves,” ten Doeschate said in the pre-match press conference ahead of India’s clash against Bangladesh on Wednesday, September 24, in Dubai.
“They fought fire with their bats on the field. I’m sure other teams have issues with some of the things we’ve done but from our side, we’re delighted with how our guys have carried themselves in this tournament.”

Ryan ten Doeschate was pleased to see that the Indian players did not deviate from their strategies in response to Pakistan’s contentious gestures.
“Again, I will say given the situation you can see why guys are behaving and what they’re trying to portray but we were very focused on how we wanted to behave. I think we stuck to cricket really well.”

“It would have been easy to lose our minds at that point given the celebration as well and some of the words during the game from the Pakistan bowling unit. I thought the guys stuck really well to the task of getting the job done and winning the game. Like I said, not at our very best so lots of things to work on but still managing to win rather comfortably is very pleasing for us.”
