India Women vs Pakistan Women is a Women’s World Cup 2025 match that will be played in the R. Premadasa stadium in a Colombo stadium on Sunday, October 5. The captain of Pakistan Sana Fatima made the toss and decided to bowl. Nevertheless, there were some peculiar events that occurred prior to the commencement of the first innings of the game.
Pakistan skipper, Sana Fatima was also caught on camera interacting with the umpires, when the grounds were full of bugs, during the match. The insects were annoying the bowlers and fielders and they could not concentrate and play adequately on the field.

To handle the situation, a substitute fielder came from the pavilion with a spray to drive away the bugs. She sprayed around the pitch and even on the bowler’s jersey, but it didn’t help much, as the insects continued to disturb play throughout the game.
Play was briefly stopped during the second drinks break of India’s innings as bugs spread all over the field. Both teams walked off while the ground staff sprayed the pitch and nearby areas to control the situation.

The break was approximately 15 minutes although officials assured that no overs would be lost. The innings break will be reduced to compensate the delay to ensure that the match ends on time.
In the meantime, it has not been easy to bat because of the humid weather. India Women continued to lose wickets in frequent intervals, and Pakistan bowlers continued to pressurize and compel the batters.
