Harleen Deol expressed her reaction to being ordered to retire in the UP Warriorz’ match against the Delhi Capitals after playing a game-winning hand in the following game against the Mumbai Indians on Thursday, January 15.
The right-handed hitter appeared in good form against Mumbai, scoring 47 runs off 36 balls, including seven boundaries. However, the Warriorz’ team management determined at the end of the seventeenth over that it was time to send the dangerous Chloe. They moved Tryon into the middle and asked Deol to retire herself.
But Tryon was unable to work her magic, dismissed by Shree Charani for a three-ball one. There was confusion among a few fans and analysts when the set batter, Deol, was dismissed out. In the end, the Warriorz managed just 13 runs over the last three overs to squander their final chance. The Capitals took the match by seven wickets with a ball to spare.
Batting with solo purpose as seems to define her, Jemimah on Thursday came in the way of Mumbai’s famed attack. Her unbeaten 39-ball 64 made the mark of 162 runs look like a child’s play. Tryon, playing her first game of the season, hammered 27* off just 11 balls. The Warriorz’s three-match losing streak was halted due to their remarkable performance.

Deol stated that while she was batting well against Delhi, the choice to replace her with Tryon was the correct one because the latter is a great hitter of the cricket ball.
“Actually yesterday too I was batting well. As you saw today, how Chloe can change the scenario. I just took it that way. She’s someone who can hit big but that didn’t go our way. That’s how I look at it,” Deol said in the post-match presentation ceremony.

During her undefeated run, Deol hit five 12s. On the other hand, Tryon crushed four fours and one six. They were instrumental in the Warriorz’s successful pursuit of a 162-run mark with seven wickets and 11 balls remaining.
