Arshdeep Singh is the first Indian to achieve 100 wickets in T20Is which he did on Friday, September 19. He did this milestone on Oman in the 12th match of Asia Cup 2025 at Abu Dhabi in the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
India was the first to bat and scored 188-8 and Oman was no match but scored 167-4. Arshdeep claimed the wicket of the Vinayak Shukla of Oman who got out to a shot that was misjudged and landed on deep midwicket to enable Arshdeep to score his 100th T20I wicket.
It took the 26 year old only 64 matches to achieve this landmark and therefore, he has been ranked among the fastest bowlers to achieve this. To conclude the match, he scored 1-37 which was a huge milestone in his career and Indian T20 cricket.
5. Rizwan Butt (66 matches)
Bahrain pacer Rizwan Butt is fifth on the list of fastest to 100 T20I wickets. He got there in his 66th match against Malawi in the Quadrangular Series at Blantyre this July, taking a brilliant 6 for 9 in that game.
The 34-year-old has now played 76 matches and picked up 122 wickets at an average of 15.24. His consistent strikes have made him Bahrain’s leading bowler in the format.
4. Arshdeep Singh (64 matches)

Arshdeep Singh became the quickest fast bowler to 100 T20I wickets, reaching the mark in just 64 matches. The Indian left-armer, who debuted in July 2022, went past Rizwan Butt’s record to grab the No. 4 spot.

3. Wanindu Hasaranga (63 matches)

Third is Sri Lanka Wanindu Hasaranga who achieved his 100 wickets in the 63st T20I. In February 2024, he sacked Najibullah Zadran and hit the landmark against Afghanistan in Dambulla.
Hasaranga has since performed 82 games and wickets 134 with economy of below 15.58. Against India in 2021, his best statistics are 4/9.
2. Sandeep Lamichhane (54 matches)

At number two is Nepal leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane who has taken only 54 matches before getting 100 wickets. He reached the milestone in the 2024 T20 World Cup against Bangladesh, where he had Jaker Ali removed using a googly.

The 25 year old has 117 wickets in 62 matches with an average of 12.34. His career highest figures of 5/9 were against Kenya in 2022.
1. Rashid Khan (53 matches)

Rashid Khan of Afghanistan is the one who records the shortest time of 53 matches to achieve 100 T20I wickets. He did it in the 2021 T20 world cup against Pakistan in Dubai, sacking Mohammad Hafeez.
Now, Rashid has played 103 games and taken 173 wickets at an economy of 6.12 and a 13.93. He also possesses eight four-fours and two five-fours with a highest of 5 against Ireland in 2017.
