India’s Asia Cup 2025 Super Fours clash against Pakistan in Dubai had a dramatic moment in the 19th over when skipper Suryakumar Yadav’s sharp fielding led to Mohammad Nawaz’s dismissal. Salman Agha tried to flick a Jasprit Bumrah full toss towards backward square leg and pushed for a quick run. Nawaz completed the single but casually stepped outside his crease at the striker’s end.
Suryakumar Yadav was in the middle of the field and was quick-thinking. Rather than passing the ball to the bowler at the end of the bowling arm, he actually threw it to the stumps of the striker. The toss flew out one more time and hit the wicket where Nawaz was caught short as his bat flew over the ground.

The game was referred to a third umpire who confirmed that Nawaz was dismissed and had to walk back 21 balls out of 19. His irresponsible run-out frustrated Pakistan, and coach Mike Hesson was going to be seen sulking in the dugout.

Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and sent Pakistan into the field with the dew expected to come later in the night. There were two changes in the lineups of both parties concerning the high volt Super Fours clash. Pakistan started on a great note, as Fakhar Zaman gave them initial momentum in the power play as Sahibzada Farhan was holding the innings. They continued to move at a steady pace on the score board despite the frequent wicket losses, and this was mostly due to the constant reliable knock by Farhan.

Farhan led the charts with 58 off 45 balls, as he stitched a handy stand with Saim Ayub with Shivam Dube striking twice to bring India back to track. Hussain Talat and Mohammad Nawaz failed to turn their begins and Salman Agha gave the innings a consistent middle over contribution of 17/13.
Faheem Ashraf was the finisher and he hammered 20 down only on eight balls, two of them being massive sixes. Pakistan, however, scored competitively at 171/5 in their 20 overs, despite India spilling the couple of catches in the deep. In the case of India, Dube had two wickets, Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav had one apiece.
