On Sunday, January 25, Team India’s opener Abhishek Sharma put on a brilliant batting performance in the third Twenty20 International in the current five-match series against New Zealand. The southpaw’s scorching strike lighted up the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
The Men in Blue were handed a target of 154 runs. Abhishek laughed off the target with a T20I half-century, second quickest by an Indian batter. He pounded his way to a 50 off just 14 balls.

The 25-year-old remained unbeaten on 68 off 20 balls that include five sixes and seven fours. The bold hitter received accolades from all on board for his great efforts.

Abhishek Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah shine in India’s eight-wicket win

India took an unassailable 3-0 lead, thrashing New Zealand by eight wickets in Guwahati. Opting to bat, the visitors ended at 153 for nine in 20 overs.
The wily Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler. He took three wickets and conceded only 17 runs in his quota of four overs. Hardik Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi bagged two scalps each.
