In the Indian Premier League (IPL), Punjab Kings (PBKS) had an incredible season last year. They lost a thrilling final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by just six runs, though, and were unable to win their first championship.
Shreyas Iyer, who led Punjab admirably the previous season, hopes to lead his club to victory in the 2026 Indian Premier League. The Punjab Kings revealed their new uniform, which substitutes blue for gold, with little over two weeks till the start of the new season.
PBKS has long been connected to the color red. The addition of blue has given it a refined appearance, even if they have kept the red in their new threads. The team shared a picture of Shreyas wearing the shirt on social media. They later shared images of people wearing the shirt, including Prabhsimran Singh, Shashank Singh, and Harpreet Brar.

BCCI Unveils First Phase of IPL 2026 Schedule
On Wednesday, March 11, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) published the timetable of the initial 20 days of IPL. The entire calendar was not released due to the assembly elections that were to be held in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Assam.
The Punjab Kings will have the Gujarat Titans, the 2022 champions, as their opening game in the IPL 2026. This game will be played in Mullanpur, the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, March 31.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are defending champions and will play their first match of the well-paying tournament on March 28, 2015, at Bengaluru M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
