Yuvraj Singh, a former India all-rounder, has publicly apologized to famous India captain MS Dhoni and Kapil Dev for his father’s repeated contentious utterances.
Yuvraj made it apparent that he does not share his father’s opinions in a newly aired podcast teaser.
“I would like to apologise to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni,” Yuvraj said in an exclusive video to Sport Tak, addressing the long-standing issue.

Yograj Singh has over the years, consistently attacked MS Dhoni on the grounds of sidelining Yuvraj out of the national team. His remarks have been quoted severally and have usually stirred up controversy in the world of cricketing.
Yuvraj, on the other hand, has mostly kept his profile off the controversy and has not publicly reacted to it before. In the same teaser, the 2011 world cup hero stated that he has had his own share with the issue as well. I have explained to dad, it is not alright, he added, showing his dislike of the tone of such words.

The next episode is one of the few podcasts that Yuvraj has made in the recent past. The teaser also features him addressing on different cricketing issues, such as information about Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and young talent Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

In the same video, the left-hander also exploded at Sunrisers Hyderabad that did not give Abhishek Sharma the captainship in the absence of Pat Cummins in IPL 2026 when Ishan Kishan was given the captainship instead.

Although much has been written and said about Yograj critiquing Dhoni, he also made the news last year with some explosive allegations of Kapil Dev. He accused Kapil of threatening him saying that the former India skipper had interfered with his career in the early 1980s.
In an outrageous disclosure, Yograj said that he once visited the home of Kapil with a pistol to fight him. Kapil, however, did not indulge in a long back-and-forth, and made a quick reply then. Yograj has been complaining of his marginalization to the Indian camp since the times of Kapil Dev and the problem has re-emerged even after several decades, showing a poor relationship between him and his former teammates.
