The Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat the Chennai Super Kings by 43 runs in Match 11 of the 2026 Indian Premier League, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in another episode of the fierce rivalry between the two teams.
Put in first, RCB made a slow start at 51/1 in the powerplay, which by their high standards was slow, and Khaleel Ahmed bowled well, with a difficult start of Phil Salt and Viart Kohli. Anshul Kamboj was the one who grabbed the massive wicket of Kohli in the fifth over and Devdutt Padikkal and Phil Salt started a partnership of 56, which kept the warning of the powerplay.
The 46-match ban on Salt saw the introduction of captain Rajat Patidar, who started the carnage with a 58-run partnership in only 21 balls with Paddikal. Padikkal had had his second of the season in two balls, but he had only 28 to hit his mark, and he did so in the next ball, and Tim David came into the crease.

The Australian powerhouse destroyed the CSK bowlers in his path to an unbroken 70 in only 25 balls. The number of his innings was three fours, eight maximums, as RCB were able to reach 97 runs during the last five overs, reaching 250/3 at the end of their 20 overs. Captain Patidar, who was the mere spectator at the onslaught of David, was beaten off on 48 with only 19 balls.
Reacting, the Chennai Super Kings failed to start their innings and RCB took away wickets at crucial points. Jacob Duffy, with his form in the first game, struck off the huge wickets of Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson in the powerplay.

Sarfaraz Khan smashed a brilliant 50 off just 25 balls, while Prashant Veer (43 off 29) and Jamie Overton (37 off 16) added valuable contributions as the team posted 207. However, Chennai Super Kings failed to match Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s intensity, and RCB sealed a dominant victory, handing CSK their third consecutive defeat.

Does Gandhigiri in 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' style, comes back with jhappi of luck. Then launches Violence.
