SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have claimed their fifth consecutive victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) with a six-wicket win on Wednesday, April 29, at Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya won the coin-toss and elected to bat.
Mumbai openers Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks launched the Indians with a wonderful century stand, and the team soared to a formidable 243/5 in 20 overs. Rickelton was left on 123 not out from 55 balls – the highest by an MI batsman. They were well supported by Jacks (46 off 22) and Hardik Pandya (31 off 15). This was the biggest first-innings score by Mumbai in the IPL.
Praful Hinge took two wickets to his credit, with Eshan Malinga and Nitish Reddy claiming one each. But, despite the large total, MI could not stop the SRH attacks, as the guests chased down the target for a loss in just 18.4 overs.
Travis Head bounced back with an unbeaten 70 off 36 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen kept up his good form, scoring 65* off 30. Allah Ghazanfar bowled two wickets for MI.
This is the sixth win in nine games for Pat Cummins-led SRH, who are now in third position. MI are now ninth with two wins out of eight matches.
Klaasen was awarded the Player of the Match for his match-winning innings. Now, take a look at three reactions from fans to this thrilling clash.
3. Suryakumar Yadav’s poor form continues as he perishes to Eshan Malinga’s bouncer

Suryakumar Yadav’s struggles were a major point of discussion in the lead-up to the crucial clash. The senior batsman did not come good, getting dismissed for five runs off five balls.
Suryakumar was bowled a good bouncer by Eshan Malinga in the ninth over. The 35-year-old opted for the pull shot but mis-timed it and Abhishek Sharma caught the ball at fine leg.
Suryakumar has an average of 20.25 in IPL 2026. He has scored 162 runs in eight innings with a strike rate of 140.86.
2. Heinrich Klaasen smashes a big six against Allah Ghazanfar with a switch-hit

Heinrich Klaasen has been the best batsman for SRH this season. The flamboyant batsman once again delivered for his team in a clutch situation. He scored an unbeaten 65 at a blistering 216.67 strike rate, with four sixes and seven fours.
The 34-year-old used the switch-hit to take on Allah Ghazanfar in the 16th over. The Afghan bowler bowled a high ball outside the off stump on the fourth ball.
Klaasen turned his back and hit the ball over the deep backward point for a massive six. Watch the video:

Salil Arora delivered a cameo at the end, leaving the ground unbeaten on 30 off 10 balls. The 23-year-old put on a show with his cameo, which included a dramatic no-look shot against Jasprit Bumrah.
The Mumbai Indians speedster bowled a slower one outside the off stump in the 18th over. Arora saw the slower ball coming and sent it over the long-off fence for a casual six.
