Pakistan women tour of England

Pakistan Women have gone undefeated in their first four matches in the Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifiers, led by Fatima Sana. The team has had a fantastic run thus far, with only two games remaining in the qualifications.

These performances ensure that the team has finally secured a spot in the 2018 Women’s ODI World Cup, which will be held in India. This is an excellent result for a team that has struggled in recent seasons, resulting in a drop in their ODI ranking. The team will now face Bangladesh Women in their last qualification match in the aim of maintaining their unblemished record.

Apart from the team’s qualification, it has been confirmed that the World Cup will be staged in a hybrid format, with Pakistan not flying to India for the competition. According to The Indian Express, the BCCI has chosen Thiruvananthapuram as one of the tournament’s venues, and it is the only shortlisted venue with Immigration and Visa facilities. It turned out to be very similar to the Champions Trophy this season. Pakistan will also play matches in nearby countries once they have qualified. The other nominated venues are believed to be Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Mullanpur, and Indore.

Top performer for Pakistan in qualifiers

A dejected Fatima Sana leads the team out after their loss against India

As captain of Pakistan Fatima Sana stands out through her outstanding all-round capabilities. Fatima stands as the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan because her medium pace bowling collected 10 wickets at an average score of 10.20 and an economic rate of 3.77 alongside her vital 103 runs as a lower-order batsman.

Managing a combined 202 runs at 48 batting average and nine wickets at 13.55 average through her three overs demonstrate the great showings of Pakistan’s top performers Sidra Amin and Nashara Sandhu during qualifiers.
